Public Input Meetings

TAKE NOTICE that the City of Welland Budget Review Committee is holding an open meeting to obtain input from members of the public regarding the 2022 tax-supported operating and nine-year capital forecast.

The meeting is scheduled for Monday, December 6 at 5 p.m. via Zoom. Should you wish to speak at this meeting, please contact the City Clerk, Tara Stephens, at clerk@welland.ca no later than noon on Friday, December 3, to be provided with a link to participate. Should you wish only to view the meeting, all Budget Review Committee meetings are live-streamed on the City of Welland’s website at: www.welland.ca/Council/Livestream.asp and do not require advance notice.

The following information will be available on Friday, December 3, on the City’s website at www.welland.ca:

• Proposed 2021 Operating Budget

• Proposed 2021-2030 Capital Budget & Forecast

Any person who attends has the opportunity to make a presentation concerning 2022 Operating & nine-year capital forecast Budgets. For Council to hear from as many residents as possible, presentations are limited to 10 minutes per presenter. If you have a written record of your presentation, please submit a copy to the Clerk at the meeting for recordkeeping purposes.

If you cannot attend the public meeting, you can provide written comments to the City Clerk at 60 East Main Street, Welland, ON, L3B 3X4 or via e-mail at clerk@welland.ca.

The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, December 8 at 5 p.m. via Zoom. Should you wish to speak at this meeting, please contact the City Clerk, Tara Stephens at clerk@welland.ca no later than 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 3, to be provided with a link to participate. Should you wish only to view the meeting, all Budget Review Committee meetings are live-streamed on the City of Welland’s website at: www.welland.ca/Council/Livestream.asp and do not require advanced notice.
